Introducing our New Logo!
We are excited to unveil a new logo for the Stillwater Public Library Foundation! This fresh design captures the essence of the Foundation's mission to engage the community and its resources to expand the reach and impact of the library. |

|
Featuring the iconic Stillwater Lift Bridge, a beloved community landmark, and a stylized open book representing the flowing water of the St. Croix River, the logo embodies both the strength of our community's history and the continuous flow of knowledge our library offers. You will see that the new logo symbolizes the bridge between our community's generosity and building a brighter future as the library continues to expand its resources to enrich our community.
Like you, we share a vision of a world-class Stillwater Public Library, and together, we will continue supporting this essential resource to make that vision a reality. |

| Did you know that nearly 50% of the materials purchased by the library in 2023 were funded by donors? And, that over 81% of checkouts are still physical items?
It's true! Physical and digital borrowing hit record highs in 2023, with total circulation increasing more than 30% over the past 10 years. This significant increase in library borrowing, exceeding Stillwater's population growth, demonstrates the commitment that Stillwater Public Library has to expand its services and resources to meet the evolving needs of the community.
A few examples of how generous donors have supported the library's material collection include: - Children's Literacy - purchases of Road to Decode, Vox and Wonderbook collections offer easy and exciting ways for parents and caregivers to help new and striving readers build literacy skills.
- Easier access to popular titles - We all know the frustration of lengthy wait lists for a bestseller, and donor support helps the library purchase more copies of book titles so your wait is shorter and you can enjoy reading more, faster. These are a just a few of the ways your gift supports the materials collection at the library. Thank you for making Stillwater Public Library a world-class library!

Why I Give: A Donor's Story |

Libraries have always been an important part of my life and learning, from early childhood to my first high school job with the local library system, to volunteering as a board member for the Stillwater Public Library Foundation today. I’m continually amazed at how the library plants creativity, sparks imagination and develops independent thinking for kids and adults.
As a long-term donor of the Foundation, I believe the library is hugely important to the greater Stillwater community. I wholly support the Foundation’s mission to enhance Stillwater Public Library – for the purchase of new materials, Sunday hours, programs for all and so much more. What the Foundation does is nothing less than amazing to help ensure this outstanding resource is available for all.
--Summer is president of the Stillwater Public Library Foundation board, a retired local business owner, and a long-time Stillwater resident. Check out our Facebook page and watch a video of Summer and her husband Clark Schroeder share why they support the Foundation. |

Give to the Max Day is Minnesota’s annual celebration of generosity and all of the ways nonprofits improve our lives. What started as a one-time fundraising campaign in 2009 has grown into an annual giving holiday, raising more than $330 million for Minnesota-based organizations to-date!
Stillwater Public Library Foundation is thrilled to participate in Give to the Max Day (GTMD). GTMD is a fantastic opportunity for the Foundation to raise funds and have chances to win additional grant support. Early giving for GTMD24 begins on November 1, 2024 at midnight. The campaign culminates with Give to the Max Day, which takes place for 24 hours on Thursday, November 21. |
