David Fabio 

David Fabio is a recognized author and photographer.  He has lived in the Stillwater, Minnesota with his wife Sandy for over 40-years. His travels international and all over the US have provided him with unique encounters and experiences that can be found in his writings.

David was a science teacher in St. Paul before working for 3M as a Senior Technical Service Engineer. He was a long-time volunteer for 10 years with the Kairos Organization at Sandstone Federal Prison which helped to bring multi-religion Christian retreats inside prison locations. He has recently published his 14th novel Lost Pine Lake.

For the past 14 years, he has written a bi-weekly column titled “Lake Life” for the Stillwater Gazette, which features his photography. His books include two youth fiction books – “The Hidden Passage” and “The Second Summer” which were written to encourage young people, with reading difficulties, to read adventure fiction and reinforce lessons learned at school. The third book of that series “Tales of a River’s Bend” is a historical fiction written about a voyage down the Mississippi River.  This book brings the river to life with stories about the past and present as told in the book by a retired riverboat pilot.

After completing his first 3-book series, he has gone on to write eleven additional novels written for all ages. These fall in the adult mystery-fiction category.  The books explore a wide range of writing; from action books on espionage and national security, to romantic action mystery, to a historical fiction book centered on the discovery of a notebook detailing events following the end of the civil war.  Most of his books have regional settings.

Meadow House, which was written about Marine on St. Croix, was selected by Washington County Library’s juried regional book selection in 2017. David has been part of the Scribblers author group at the Stillwater library and enjoys working with new writers that are just testing out their skills.
